Fuel petcock won't shut off 3 Months, 1 Week ago
This has been a (minor) problem for a while. Every time I remove the tank, the petcock dribbles fuel in the off position. I have to put a piece of blanked-off fuel hose over it to stemn the flow - small I know but a nuisance nonetheless - is a rebuild kit or single o-ring the fix?

They do sell packing for the fuel cock. You may want to break it down and clean it.Sometimes valves wear out and dont seat properly. You may want to try turning the valve slowly and see if the flow will stop before you get to the point where it no longer moves....Coug

I have to turn mine a little past off (towards Res) to get it to shut off.

I dont know if design has changed since 01, but there is a little gasket under the lever that goes bad. Just empty the tank and take the little screws out and lever will pull out, the gasket is right behind the lever. It isnt a very costly item if my memory is right.
