Oil Change 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I changed my oil this morning, drained the used oil in a clean oil pan and added 4 quarts of fresh oil in. Then I measured the quantity of used oil that I drained. Well, I am missing almost half a quart??????
Are we losing that much oil?????
What do you guys think?

Me either, I learned last oil change that I need to pay a little more attention to that. Although I did have the starter gear cover off 48 times..

I didn't realize that those little oil spills add up so fast, good thing I didn't take it out for a ride.

1.5 quarts out, 4 in..

Well a lot of oil sticks to the drain pan, inside the oil filter that never seems to empty out, and think of all the oil lost in funnels, and small spills.... I never get all 4 quarts back, but the scoot never gets too full???

Approximately one quart will remain in the engine as these bikes have a dry capacity of 5.3 US Quarts. Also the longer you let them drain the more you will get out. Some have even set them up and let them drain all night and gotten more out
