I ride with my shield out of necessity. I am extremely allergic to bee stings. One sting sends me to the hospital with a closed off throat and hives. So the shield keeps most of those off of me. I would like to try it without but would be afraid to be in the middle of nowhere giving myself an epi injection beside the road and noone to get me to a hospital.

Yeah, I love my shield off too... The only problem I have without it is when I go anything over 65 MPH... the skin on my cheecks starts to flap, like one of those test pilots on a rocket sled...

Anaphylactic shock is no joke... Be careful out there...

Got nailed yesterday. I hadnt had a reaction for years, this time I did. I thought I was past that, but it can be very serious. Wasp do not set it off in me, but the bumble bees! I'm in trouble.

Those of you who are allergic to bee stings, please please keep your kits with you. A buddy of mine was HIGHLY allergic to bee stings and didn't have his kit with him. He was brush-hogging at the back of his property, hit a nest and got stung multiple times. Before he could get to the house to get his kit, he died.
