AMSOIL!! w00t!!! 3 Years, 3 Months ago
I changed my oil and used a little over four quarts of AMSOIL, and then I went on a 60-mile ride to the dealership and back, because I wanted to look at some cold weather gear. (Not really... Basically, I needed an excuse to go for a long ride and check out other bikes.)

I don't know what kinda' cheapo crap the Bruiser had in it, when the dealership did the first oil change, but with the AMSOIL, the valves and that big ol' V-Twin was just quiet and smooth and sweet. From now on, I won't use anything else. AMSOIL makes the Bruiser a happy boy.

Is anybody familiar with Castrol Actevo X-TRA 4T?

Won a drawing on a recent ride and got 4 quarts and a K&N filter.

Should I try it or go straight to the AMSOIL?

Keith

There's some dude riding a Roadie out there, with 176,000 miles on the odometer, who has only used AMSOIL. That pretty much sums it up for me.

If you won the oil and it's free, why not try it? If you don't like it, you can always change it out.

You can sure try Amsoil. It's good oil but so are a lot of others. I tried it in my bike but my bike didn't like it. What I'm saying is you need to try different oils until you find the one your bike likes best.

I don't know Amsoil. Must be South of the border stuff.

ANY synthetic is so far superior than the Yami factory oil that any kind is better.

Speaking of changing oil - make sure you do it BEFORE you store it.

bushr

ps
I use Mobile 1 for V-Twins

No,,,no,,,,no,,,no......lol.

THE AMSOIL CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS, MANUFACTURING PLANT, AND MAIN DISTRIBUTION CENTER are located in Superior, Wisconsin, with several regional warehouses strategically located throughout North America and overseas. These facilities cover a total of nearly 700,000 square feet.
Lots of info here.
