In the end it pays off for me. I had a nasty habit of busting things. So I learned two things, choke up on the wrench and use a torque wrench. I never cease to be amazed how little some bolts take and how much others do. The hell of it is, I bought the damned torque wrench specifically for this job, but in my haste to get it all done, wound up doing the wrong thing. In woodworking, we'd say "Measure twice, cut once." I guess if all it cost me was a $75 mounting set, it's not a complete disaster in the end. A guy I was talking to tonight said that if that's all it was, it'll probably be the cheapest mistake I make on the bike! LOL. Ah... life lessons. Thanks everyone!
