popping out of gear 4 Months ago  
sometimes when I am getting on the throttle sometimes before i shift into 3rd it slips into neutral does anyone know why?

I would check your clutch handle adjustment first for the thickness of a nickle clearance, if that's good, I would start looking at the cable and the pull, down on the clutch housing.
If that's good, you may need new clutch springs.

It has a new barrett clutch and spring kit but it has been doin it since new and it only does it between 1st and 2nd and only when I am getting into it.

I am not a tranny guy, but I can almost assure you that it is likely a bent shift fork... and if it is, it means a tranny teardown, and that will entail alot!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm pretty confident of that diagnosis... others?

Please feel free to tell me I'm wrong for Dealer's sake!

depending on what year there was a recall on the transmission dealer repuilt mine and replaced shifting forks at no cost check on the recall list from the dealer or google recalls for your bike

might be something I'll have to live with. It went in for the recall and they fixed that still did it.
