That's the most interesting thing I've read lately. Yamaha blames thinning oil for the noise. Thicker synthetic oil hasn't helped mine. And you're running 40 wt. and your top end is quiet. I'm jealous!

Did you do anything else to quiet down the racket, or do you attribute it to the oil?
