hey loko, same thing happened to me i did a quick fix temporally. the thread on the axle of my * had more damage on half of the thread so i brought the axle to a friends machine shop and he took off the damaged threads on a lathe. then he drilled a hole in the machined part for me to put a cotter pin in it. i was able to get a nut from a local hardware store for about 4 dollars.

after wards he said he should have just made a new axle for me he didnt like how the factory axle is hollow

i may take him up on that one of these days and have him set it up to use a crown nut.
