G'day ...jd750ace... Same thing happened to me back in March on trip to Sydney. I agree with others, you most likely bought a bad batch from a fuel stop.

I drained my fuel tank cleaned it out and then put about 1 cup of methylated spirits in the tank and sloshed it around before emptying. I also cleaned out the fuel hoses, replaced the fuel filter which was full of water and then, surprising took the fuel pump off and it had nothing but water in it.

After cleaning out the fuel pump and line to carby I refilled with new fuel and added some fuel treat and the bike never ran better.

I guess it pays to go beyond the fuel filter to make sure you have all the water clear.
