I don't usually believe in additives, but Seafoam has my vote. My bike always ran strong, but always a tad rough. I dumped in some Seafoam in the gas tank and it now runs a smooth as silk. I'll probably use an ounce or two once a month or so. I'm not sure why you need to change oil after using it though.
You only need to change the oil if you do the "shock treatment", which is the whole can of Seafoam in a tank of gas.
Just for giggles & since it can't hurt, right before your next oil change take a look at your oil color via the otherwise useless dipstick. Then do a "shock" with a full can of Seafoam in a full tank of gas and wind up the RPMs good. When that tank is done, change your oil and note the color difference in the oil when it comes out. T'aint purdy...

I always run 5-6 ounces of Seafoam per tankful of gas, as follows:
2-3 tankfuls before Winter hibernation, then top off the tank and add Seafoam as needed.
1 tankful, every month or so, during riding season.

Keith , if you were asking that to me , sorry about my late reply . No , no Rattles , but the Fuel injection bounces off the inside of the air box , giving it that nice Cummins diesel sound at certain RPM. Esp. with the shield on. But I have in mind to fix that one day. BB
