Mine does the same thing after I push it in 1/4 from full. It's kind of nice, almost like an automatic choke

I reach down sometimes to push it in, and it's already there! I like it like that.

dvblair: Has anyone cut off the heel portion of the shifter? I never use it and would like to have the extra room. I would like to remove it but it looks like you would need a spacer on the shaft and I'm not sure ...
