I get a lot at my local dealer to avoid those high priced shipping charges. He might not discount parts like that site I gave ya, he's 6.85 for pilot jet minus 15% discount I get, so still 2 bucks higher than the site I gave ya, but no shpping.

Also, an advantage I have living in the Tampa Fl area, I have 4, 5 Yamaha dealers with-in a 30 mile distance from me.

Aw what the heck ordered it last night and it's on the way. BUT THE GOOD NEWS FOR TODAY, just with what I have done so far with trimming the choke knob, moving the clip on the needle and putting in the new iridium plugs went for a ride today out through Fort Pillow National Park, what a great day and with all the fall colors, could not have asked for a better ride anyway back to the story milage went from low 30's to 40 mpg today, things looking up. Want to again thank all you guys for helping so far, your the best. AND NOW THE BEST NEWS FOR TODAY......My buddy who was talking mess yesterday when I had the bike taken apart, he rides an 09 Harley Street Glide, a really nice bike by the way, well he road with me today and he was still talking mess every chance he got, we were sitting at a light waiting to jump on the highway and as the light turns green he says with a big S***T eatin grin "Try to keep up this time!" and just jumped on it, well when we got down the road and I passed him running bout 105 the grin was gone and when we got off the highway and I was still ahead of him running into the parking lot there were no more smiles or smart alec comments the rest of the day from him and I just let it go, didn't gloat or say nothing which I think made him even madder, all in all a good day.

Sometimes not saying anything is better than gloating...makes them really think about what just happened. Nice story!

I think what made him even madder was he just recently bought that bike for a present to himself for retiring from the Navy and on his way home from the dealership he stopped by the house to show me his new Harley and one of his comments was that I couldn't drive off and leave him anymore like I used to do when he was on his Honda Shadow 1100. I know it was just killing him especially after giving me so much crap the day before.

Re:Horrible Gas Milage??? HELP PLEASE!! 1 Week, 3 Days ago
So still impatiently waiting on my new pilot jet and got to thinking if I have to take everything apart again anyway to put that in why not see if I can do this all in one with a BAK, got to dumbing around on ebay and found this, but its listed for the 1600 not the 1700. So my question is will this work on my bike or do I need to look else where for one, if not this one can anyone tell me where to get one at a reasonable price. Thanks in advance again guys. Please keep in mind working on very tight budget also....

you can get a K&N universal for about 50 bucks, but you will need to fab a simple bracket for it..
thia thread has the info...http://roadstarclinic.com/component/option,com_fireboard/Itemid,187/func,view/id,35992/catid,51/
I've used it for over a year now and wouldn't have anything else at any price...
