Stroker,

I was hearing the same grinding noice out of my front brakes and was told to try lacquer thinner (as in paint). Wipe it on the rotors, let dry and off you go. I was informed that this is a common issue especially in the fronts that are more suspetable to dust build up.

Have over 20k on the bike and still lots of meat on the pads... may change them just for something to do, but at least the noice has disappeared.

Peter

Well lets just leave that I don't use brakes, I just drive a lot..
My Mustang GT convertible that was saved when it was a year old(98 I got in 99, with 27,000 miles) I did the brakes when I got it and it has 98759 on it the last I looked. Still doesn't need them. My dodge Ram has 92,000 miles and I got just over 60,000 on its set but I haul a trailer sometimes with that.
My bike rear brakes still worked cause I did 26 ft of skid mark before hitting the guy that pulled in front of me.
nice straight line in the middle lane on right side, and never did brakes on the bike, just rode it a lot.
