I have not been on in a while due to some health issues. I finaly got back in the saddle a couple of weeks ago and rode 1100 miles last week. I was going over my bike so I could do some more riding this weekend and noticed my rear tire was setting on 23 PSI, then saw the tread splitting open, soaped it, and sure enough its leaking and a wonder it did not blow on me. It had 38 PSI in it last week when I headed out. The tire is 15 months old and has 6K on it. Anybody had any luck getting Metzler to adjust a tire that has been kept properly inflated?

i have seen on some internet search about metzler tires spliting and coming apart, 1100 miles huh ? your making up for lost time, that's great, keep riding !!

Had a slipstone do that on my 07 just put a net set of Metzlers on it.

Glad your health is better.....I have posted before about my 2 poor experiences with the Brazilian made Metzler white walls. Dealer replaced 1st set. Charged me $65 in labor...Would not return my calls on the replacement tire failing nor would a local rep.
Finished with Metzler!
I will take the 2nd failed tire with me to the next bike show or rally when I know that I can see a rep in person.
