#286267 stroker (User) Junior Boarder Posts: 166 The Road Star Knock 1 Year, 12 Months ago   I've heard about it and I think mine does it.It's an 02 and it does it only when it gets hot and under load.You don't hear it in neutral and you rev. it,only under load.It gets real bad when you take off and if you lug it.Is that the road star knock that everybody talks about?If so I wonder if it's the the throttle position senser?I get the impression that the timing advances before the motor gets to rev. and causes a spark knock.I might be wrong,but the way I understand it the tps is what advances the timing.If that's right is there a way to adjust it? It doesn't seem to have any effect on the sound of my bike.
