Lower fork deflectors with MS batwing 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Anyone figure out how to mount lower fork wind deflectors with a Memphis Shades batwing fairing (trigger mounted)? Seems a lot of people have success with the Kuryakyn 1106 HD type deflectors, but it seems that it's usually mounted with a factory shield/bracketry. I am a new R* owner (2000 XV1600) so any help appreciated!

Yea, like I said, I know they will mount to the factory brackets, but I don't have those...I have the Memphis Shades batwing on their trigger mount. It's a way different setup. I figured somebody may have already figured out how get a set of fork deflectors mounted with this type fairing. Or maybe someone knows of another model/make/brand that works in this situation.

Can you pull the fairing off and shoot a pic of the backside where the mounts are? We might be able to figure something out.

I can do that, but it may take a couple days until my Internet service is restored at my house (lightning strike!)...I'm relegated, for the time being, to using my iPhone which cannot upload pics. Thanks for the willingness to help. And, your bike looks awesome!

I did mounted mine on top of the factory mounts. Had to modify the MS trigger brackets for clearance on the light bar. I then needed several small spacers and 4 longer bolts. Was very simply.
