They come pre-gapped at .032-.035. You normally don't need to touch them, especially since the point can snap pretty easily.

According to the NGK # the 9 at the end of the # represents a .036 gap. If you check or change the gap from what it is now be careful. They say the center electrode will break very easy.

They come pre-gapped DO NOT gap them you will damage the electrode and render them useless. I have a set in both bikes and never touched them. They work great right out of the box and you can feel the difference.

I agree with you,Curt..they work great in both of my bikes as well..the center electrode is of a very small diameter,i did not try to gap them as they were good out of the box..
