New Yamaha Safety Recall Notice 1 Year, 8 Months ago  
Just got a recall in the Mail on the Fat Double "T" Handlebars.
Mfg'ed from 8/1/08 thru 7/31/09.may have tubing thinner than designed where the bars narror for the switch housing and grips.they could be weak enough to break.Probley been on here before, but better safe than sorry.

That is the vin number for your bike.
I got the same notice today. Unless you installed the bars named in the notice, no need for any action on your part.

I received the safety recall notice yesterday....I was hoping it had something to do with gas pouring down on a hot engine, I was wrong, just handle bars that could break in some unknown situation...wonder how many times that has happened?

I told my wife I had just gotten a safety recal from Yamaha for some part. She said and I quote "I wouldn't even open it, no doubt its for some part you took off anyway!"

I got one yesterday as well, said something about 2008 and later....

was hoping my notice would include a newer R* but it was for flat bars on a Warrior dang-it...

Wish they would do a recall on the flimsy exhaust studs........3 day weekend,and I'm stuck at home.
