K&N filter oil duration 2 Years ago
So a few weeks ago I re oiled my air filter. After about two tanks of gas I've noticed that it's looking pretty dry. Does this seem a bit quick to be dried out?

Of note it was bone dry when I oiled it

If it's a K&N filter then as long as it's an even red all over then you're set. The oil is absorbed into the cotton like media so it's doing its job. Over oil it and the excess will either drip on the bike or be sucked into the intake.

Yeh, go with the amount K&N recommends, and don't mess with it again until it's genuinely dirty. It doesn't have to stay red.
