Need a front tire 1 Year, 8 Months ago
Ok guys, I'm in need of a new front tire, or will be shortly. I'm currently running a Bridgestone Exedra WW 130/90 16 and it has 9500miles on it and I've had no complaints so far. I was just curious as to what some of you guys with more miles are running and why....price, mileage, handling, etc.
I'm not looking to spend lots of money as I'm on a very limited budget and have done good not to have to sell my bike. But if theres one out there that will last longer for the money than I'm game! So let's hear everyones reccomendations and why. Thanks

thats kind of low miles for a front. should be getting double. sure you're using the proper psi? Don't go by psi for the stock tire on tire of another brand, they all have their own pressure to use. Can check out Shink 777 or Full Bore tires.

Haven't checked the pressure lately. It's the stock tire that came on the bike, but it's getting pretty close to being worn out and has some minor cupping so I'm sure it's a little low.

I just replaced both my tires with the bridgestone exedra max. I really like the improved handling. Of course, it could just be my imagination...

I just ordered a set of Conti. Tours. The Conti. Milestones have 10,000 on the rear and 18,000 on the front. They are being replaced as we speak. I was going to go with the Shinkos but didn't like the reviews I read. Less mileage and more mounting costs.

I've got the same tire. I have about 14,000 on mine. The tread is still good but their is a little dry rot and some cupping going on. New rubber in the spring for me.
