steering problem 1 Year, 3 Months ago  
Hi guys , my roadie has a little spot that, well when i turn the bars it get stuck right at the end of the turn . what should i do . theres no way to grease it i dont think. Theres two holes on each side of the frame but no grease fitting .idk .should i replace the steering barrens .

Sounds like you need to replace steering head bearings. When you do drill holes and install grease fittings for future greasing

check that there is nothing obstructing your turning such as cables, steering padlock location, etc.after that it only leaves the bearings in the steering head, good luck, mort

no i have checked, no obsructions . how big of a job is that . because its apart know getting it painted so i got the room to do the job .

You have to pull the forks and tree to get to the stem bearings. It is a bit of a job and you need a bike jack, but it is more time consuming than hard if you have any mechanical ability. I'm not sure but check the Tech articles there is probably a step by step.

Probably a cracked bearing race. I had to replace mine for that problem.
