That really is a bunch of crap! There is no way this should never have happened. Probably just a bad pulley to start with. Either splines weren't right or poor quality steel. I'm not knocking Barons but mistakes happen. I hope you can get this straight and be back on the road soon. Broke bikes suck! Good luck to you.

Barons just called me....well it's LA Choppers who bought Barons, they said send it back and they will check it out and let me know. They said there is only a 1 year warranty but, they will see what they can do. interesting thing they said they wanted to make sure it was the Barons steel pulley and not a knock off aluminum. I had to school him on the fact Barons MADE the aluminum first THEN changed to steel.

I wonder if they are being so nice cause I told them I'm a moderator here

Barons just called again with a RMA # so I can send my pulley back and said they will get it "taken care of right away so I don't loose much riding time" Just hope taken care of means a new pulley

I must say I am very impressed with their customer service and communication.

Lucky you! By the time I heard a "minor" noise coming from my front pulley cover on the 'Liner , the pulley and mid-shaft were ruined. I did get lucky though , in that I got a complete transfer case from a totaled Raider with 15 miles (yep....15) on it for a fraction of the cost of the hard parts new from Yamaha. I (now) preach checking that nut on a regular basis. Hope Barons does right by you. BB

Funny though the nut wasn't loose at all.
Guess it happens on liners too?
