Maybe the front pulley is loose???? 1 Year ago
Ok, so I have this vibration that is there when going 50-75 mph. If I pull in the clutch, it goes away. I went to check to see if the front pulley is loose but I can't get the two round allen bolts out. They do have to be removed in order to get the cover off, right?

Try applying heat with a heat gun or a high powered hair dryer. Also you can use an allen socket and whack it with a hammer to brake things loose.

Heat gun eh?? I can borrow one from work and give it a shot. As far as the allen goes, its starting to strip out. Are these normally this tight?

think wouldnt think its supposed to be that tight. I took mine off for the first time 5 years after I bought it, they came right out. I wonder if someone had it off at one time and put loc-tite on the bolts.

i have taken them off both bikes and they were tight but not unreasonably tight like yours..blackroadie is right.. someone might have been in there before you..again,use a hammer and smack the bolt straight on... hard.. with and without the heat...

Did you ever get the vibration figured out? I just put mine back together including a rejet and now have a vibration I didn't remember. As I was researching I saw your post.
