Running Mobil 1 also. Great stuff. As far as a little dino oil left in the engine when switching - don't worry about it. If you let it drain good it's not enough to worry about.

Check your local Wal-Mart. Ours has a motorcycle section and carries the Mobil 1 and Valvoline full synthetics for bikes, both available in 20W-50 and 10W-40. The Valvoline runs about $1.00 cheaper per quart, but I know nothing about it. I plan to try the Mobil 1...read a lot of positive reviews on it here. I'm hoping it will quiet this beast down a bit.

Most of the quality motorcycle oils are the same. What's different is the filter. I would go with a RP or Amsoil filter. I opted for Amsoil. I use the Amsoil oil/filter on my 2010 GMC and change the oil every 15k miles. I do mostly highway driving in it, though.

no freaking way would I pay $17 for a qt of oil.
Get what is local to you and decent in price.
Mobil 1 20w-50 vtwin is good oil
