try taking the calipers off and cleaning up the slides real well. may have some corrosion built up in them making it stick.

They all rub the pistons don't retract far enough to keep the pad off the rotor. If you have too much space between the pad and the rotor you won't stop quick enough in a panic stop.

i understand that they should rub, but the wheel should spin freely though. You can actaully feel it dragging when doing turns at low speed, and it decelerates real bad too. takes the fun out of riding. to clean the caplipres do i have to take the hoses off and stuff to and do the bleeding process again? or just spray brake clean all over anything and leave the hoses on? i took off the brake pads allready and i couldnt even get them out without without using channel locks to compress the pistons in.

I don;t use cleaning fluid on my at all. I use a strong mix of Simple Green and water with a stiff brush to clean them. You can just take the calipers off the forks and leave the lines on. Don't get the Simple Green on any aluminum parts if you do wash it off quick. Rinse the calipers off with a water hose and put things back together.

What Curt said, and make sure your brakes are very well bled. Once you are done bleeding and cleaning, Set it up overnight with a zip tie holding the brake lever in. Does not have to be real firm, but enough till the wheel would not roll if pushed. Cut the tie off in the morning and pump the lever a few times. Take it out and see if your drag is gone. I fixed up a buddy's Valkyrie like that. Not sure what it does, except work.

While you're at it, it's not hard to take the calipers apart and clean the pistons, seals and calipers. Nasty gunk will build up around the seals and on the pistons.
