Need some brake help 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Had my bike at the dealer today getting tire installed, the service manager called me back to show me that my rear brake pads are wearing in a taper due to both pads have gouged a grove into the caliper, and the caliper needs replaces. I am looking for a used caliper, and am wondering if the rear caliper for a 1700 will fit a 1600? I looked at some parts break down and it shows my 00 1600 part number the same as one for an 04 1700. My thought would be they are the same but I wanted to ask the experts before I ordered it. Thanks

Jim

The rear caliper and the rear rotors are the same for a 1600 and a 1700 so you can use them also the warrior rotor is the same and the caliper may be.

The Warrior REAR brake stay is different so the caliper mounting is also different then the Roadstar. The warrior and Liner calipers are the same except for the location of the bleeder.
The rotors for the Roadstar, Warrior and Liners are the same
