You can probably run a little less air in it. The 77H is rated at 908 lbs at 130 mph while the 71H is rated at 761 lbs at the same speed. Those specs are with the sidewall pressure in the tire. I don't think the rear of your bike weighs 908 lbs.

I did just that after the slippery ride home... I haven't had the bike out since then cause of the rain... I didn't want to take my chances in the wet roads... it was slippery enough on dry pavement

i just had to chime in on this,since i went from the 880's to the shinko 777's
well the other day i noticed cracks in the side walls of the 777's so i contacted shinko and was told to conact the dealer i used. so i conacted the motorcycle super store and two days later i was told (via email)to destroy the tires and i would get a refund of the cost of the tires ($154).
well since i had a metzler 880 mt9016b16 72h i went back to the metzler 880 150 80b16 77h ($150) plus new inner tubes $15 mounting and bal. $80
asked about the michellin commanders tire guys said they were the best BUT not for spoke wheels which since my r* is an 02 i have.

Installed commander 11 tires,big differance from metz 880 for the better.

I don't know why they would have told you the Commander II couldn't be used with a tube. I'm not aware of any bias ply MC tubeless tire that can't be run with a tube.

Go tell that dude he is FULL of it. I have C II's on my 02 with spoke rims!!! Mounted and balanced at MotoTire a MOTORCYCLE tire shop and RECOMMENDED by the owner of the shop over Pirelli Night Dragons, Metler ME880 and several others.

it was not that can not be used with the spoke wheels they just do not work as well with spokes as they do with cast wheels and it was danny at moto tire that told me.
