Anybody using a High Position Lift? 11 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I know there are a lot of posts on here about motorcycle lifts. I did a search and found this one from Harbor Freight talked about a little, but didn't actually see any comments from anybody who actually has one. From looking at it, I like that it can raise the bike higher and that it has a wider stance that the standard floor jacks so I'm thinking maybe a little more stable? I also like that it starts out really low compared to the other ones.

Does anybody here actually have one of these? If so, can you give me your opinion / experience with it? Thanks!

Wouldn't that setup kind of restrict working on both sides of the bike at the same time?

=======================

I also think it's MS1700 that has this jack & really liked it from what i remember.

True but the positives of its deisgn out weighs the fact you may need to drop bike down and spin the bike or jack arround once in a while .

But when doing work on forks/front & rear wheels & brakes/changing tires etc its nice that it lifts the bike higher then std bike under the bike red jack like Sears & Habor Frt sells while also being a bit more stable too.

BTW,i already had the smaller sears type red bike lift before i found out about this better bike lift that i would have rather had.

I just bought that lift last winter, really enjoy it, especially for detailed cleanings. If I lift it up all the way, I do put blocks under the legs to help support the weight.

Yea I have it and I would buy it again! I had a little trouble with the jack part bleeding down slowly, but they gave me a new one cheerfully and the new one works perfect. Its the only jack you need IMHO. Great for exhaust work, forks, Shocks, washing and detailing. It does give a little when fully raised but trust me nothing is going anywhere. I used to use a board to steady it up. But I got over it after a few times and use it stand alone. Its very stable and sturdy.

Deedot - Thanks for pointing me to MS1700's post. When I did my search, I didn't see that one. It was very helpful!

MS1700 - Thanks for the review of it. That plus Harbor Freight's sale, plus an extra 20% coupon, and I pulled the triger on one. I look forward to getting it put together and trying it out now! This is my first lift, and I figure between my roadie and my newly aquired project bike, it's a worthwhile investment. Thanks!
