Front and rear wheel bearings 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
When should front and rear wheel bearing be replaced. I currently have 48.000 miles on my 08 roadstar. My hearing is bad so its possible I will not hear the bearing going bad so I have to depend on mileage and preventive maintenance. Thanks to all who respond.

They are not a maintenance replacement item. I changed my front at approx 120k, but they were as good as day 1, but since he took them out and I had the new ones on hand, I put the new ones in. Rear is still there with 148k

Thank you so very much. One less thing I won't have to worry about.

My Road Star bearings are good at 48K. I changed front and rear at 60K in my SV, after the speed sensor coil came apart and contaminated the left front, trashing it. (common problem with this sensor). I replaced them all just because, but I did find that the hub side rear had loosened in the wheel. as is pretty normal for this problem, A4 Metalset to the rescue! been like that for another 8K so far. I know people that are 70K into one of these "fixes", so I don't worry about it.
