Choke detent spring 12 Months ago

While doing some basic maintenance & cleaning I unscrewed the rubber cover under the enrichment (choke) knob only to have the little spring (which I was unaware of) launch into the great unknown. Is it essential? Is it replaceable with a spring from something else?
I'm not about to spend $67 bucks on a choke cable when mine seems to be just fine - with the obvious exception of the missing spring.
Any help?

I just replaced the cable on mine, I will look and see if I still have it. I will send you the spring and ball or the whole cable if you want. Send me a PM or better yet email me at: joel_smith_45acp@yahoo.com If I still have it I will send it to you and I will even cover the shipping.

did ya lose that small ball bearing as well? Thats what locks the indent in place. need both for the choke to operate properly
