Not to get to far off the subject. I ran Quaker State in may 1984 Camaro for 16years. When I rebuilt the engine with 250,000 plus mile it had no sludge and very little ring grove. After the rebuild I went to castrol oil. Not sure why as the Quaker State wasnt broken.
But back to the subject I have lube the linkage and will see how it does tomorow. Thanks again everyone.  |

I agree on their gas. They made some good hi-test at one time.
I've not used Quaker State enough but heard that also. I use Penzoil in my cars and have not had the first oil related problem.
I think the majority of the oils now are better but old habits are sometimes hard to break.  |

Is it just shifting hard ,and are the springs all there? OOps sorry you can't see the springs.  |

Could also be clutch cable has worn/streched enough over many yrs use/many miles that the clutch isnt disenguaging enough anymore to allow smooth/normal shifting.
So chk clutch adj before digging any deeper.
