Front Tire scalloping? 10 Months, 1 Week ago
Running dunlop cruisemax whitewalls. New front tire has about 2500 miles on it and is about as scalloped as the one I had before I replaced it.Has a friend tell me that that the cause is dirt fork oil.......any way this can be true?

usually low pressure. since they are not stock tires, do not use Yamaha psi specs, toss them out the door. use the manufacturers specs.

yep, dirty fork oil can do that did you change the air in your saddle bags ? Just kidding. I had a cruise max (www) & it cupped out on me at about 2500mi. I've been running Metz's since. Life's been good

What they said...

And get a good and accurate gauge. A buddy with a Goldwing was having the same issue and was using a service station air chuck with the built-in gauge... it was off (low) by 8-10 lbs. Expensive lesson.
This is what I use and I've tested it against a calibrated gauge. It was no more than .5 lb off.
