I'm feeling a little bit of slip and the bike has about 40K miles on it. If I take it down, gonna' do the whole thing.

I did the spring conversion last year, I've been a little concerned since then the torque wrench I used was borrowed (Harbor Freight) and I have been waiting to do an oil change so I could pull the cover to check the bolts for piece of mind.. Lol. I will be doing that on Monday and since then I picked up some Barnett Friction plates, figure while I have it apart might as well do the plates too.
Oil change, K&N filter and Royal Purple.. also picked up the diverter and an oil cooler.. I think I need to stay off of the Internet for a while and just ride .

Ain't gonna happen man. Stayin off the internet is like stayin off your bike.

lol.. yeah, guess you got me there. Maybe I just need to close my PayPal account. ..

I had about 50k on my scoot and installed high compression pistons.

When she was cold and going uphill to work, she would slip so I got the Barnett with the heavier springs.

Took me a while to get to it, but took care of the slipping and ran great. Not much more noticeable at the clutch grip.

Make sure you get a new gasket too. I tipped the scoot over to the right side and put 2x4s or something under the frame to hold her at an angle while I operated. Only a small amount of oil ran out.

I agree that you probably don't need new plates - just the Barnett kit with the heavier springs should do the trick.

It's easier than you might think...
