k & n air filter 9 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello Brothers,
Just got done replacing the stock air filter with a k & n. Got lucky and rode for about an hour. What a difference between the stock design and the k & n. I'm not sure how much difference it's going to make, but it sure will breathe a lot better even if it is still in the stock air box. I know I had a big ol grin ridin down the highway!

It does make a difference. Did mine a year ago. Got tired of the
stock filters comming apart at the seams.

Nope. It helps the bike breath better but the stock airbox is still a real strangler.

K&N also make a chrome bolt-on filter that clamps right to the carb intake. It's inexpensive and really turns the Road Star into a fire breather!

Of course, you'll have to re-jet, but it's worth it.

Me, too, Greysnake. Less than two years old and went through 3 OEMs when the bottom plates fell off from the cheapa** glue. I would have saved money if I'd just bought the K&N when I thought it was too expensive.

Whats the part number for that K & N filter? That's the one Mr. Cancilla uses, right?
