Sea Foam 5 Years, 1 Month ago
Just bought a can of Sea Foam to run it through this tank of gas it also says it can be put in the oil to help control carbon build up. Is it safe to put it in the oil or will it affect the Clutch?

don't know, but I wouldn't chance it... most folks change there oil so often, it doesn't have a chance to get too dirty..

Sea foam goes in the fuel? I thought it was a spray cleaner or something of that nature.

yep, you can use it in a couple of different ways, put a few ozs in the tank for a maintaince treatment or put it in a windex bottle and spray it in the carb with the engine turning about 1500 rpm, keep spraying until you choke it dead then let it sit overnite for a shock treatment...

It can go in the oil just fine.....safe for wet clutch applications. Question is why? To clean the top end , run it straight through the carb (Deep Creep) , and then a tank of fuel. If you had a dirty lifter or something...maybe put some in the crankcase, but otherwise......BB

Does anyone know who carries Sea Foam in Canada? I haven't seen it & I have looked. And while I'm asking what is the MMO I see in so many posts?
Thanks

MMO = Marvel Mystery Oil

According to the acronym popup, it is used to clean up internal engine components when symptoms of excessive carbon buildup are present. Not sure about the Great White North, but you can buy MMO almost anywhere in the States and, similar to Sea Foam, it has a variety of applications. I bought my last bottle of Sea Foam and MMO at Wal-Mart.

I have noticed an improvement in how my bike runs since I started using Sea Foam.

Depends where you live .... so where do you live.

If you can't get Seafoam, use MMO. You can buy it at Can Tire ... red bottle.
