Re:Belt adjustment 6 Months ago
I was wondering the same thing. My bike only has about 2500 miles on it right now. But I was thinking about changing the belt every time I put new tires on. Would this be a bit overkill? My thought is, while the tires are off, it's just a simple process to change out the belt and prevent having one go bad while on a ride.

I think that would be WAY overkill Midnight1700. It's my understanding that these belts should easily last 50 thou under normal conditions. I believe a good visual inspection and cleaning at tire changing time would be smart..

Re:Belt adjustment 6 Months ago
What is the typical mileage one can expect on a set of tires? Maybe changing the belt every other tire change? I try to be a bit proactive in preventing me from having to push my bike anywhere

Tires last around 10 k miles.

As Flash said re belt .... easily 50 k.

The belt is not cheap so it's no use throwing money away if you don't need to .... unelss you're throwing it may way.
