Just curious why they expanded it. OK. I believe they expanded it to play it safe. It tough 'cause on Forums you don't always see the whole picture. There seemed to be the a problem for the ones covered by the original recall. I think (don't remember) it was a bad batch of clips over a certain period of time. Maybe they were unsure if other years had the clips installed. Only Yamaha knows the real story. Here's the dumb question.. how do you know if the recall has been done? I bought my 01 Road* used with 13K miles..and have 24K now..
