Steam Cleaner?! 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Just saw an infomercial on the monster1200 steam cleaner and they were using it on a bike! Has anyone tried this. Was wondering if it would work for the spokes without taking the finish off. Seams like a good idea with just water and no cleaner. Would think it would work great for melting bugs and you guys with whitewalls too.

Hmmmm...my wife has one of those, I always thought it was a Frapaccino maker Not sure I would use near anywhere it could force moisture inside housings, etc. but on the crash bars and wheels it might so the trick!

Regards, Ted

The rule is - When you come up with something like this you have to buy it and let us know how it works.

Wifey has a hand steam cleaner and it is surprising how well it cleans. It's good for WW, spokes, bird crap and just about everything----will even kill weeds. It comes with attachments for a lint free cloth, a small wire brush and others so you can clean the whole bike with it. The cloth will prevent any moisture from going anywhere it shoudn't.

Our neighbour bought one, not as hot, didn't build much pressure and was useless. They are not hi pressure but they gotta have enuff to the job.

Like anything I guess, you pay for what you get.

Hey Bushr, which one works good...which one is useless? Think I'll order one to try and get the roadgrime off the spokes. Does it work on rust? The last owner let the crash bars go and there is some rust where they connect to the frame at the bottom.
