Replacement Headlight and Passing Lamps 9 Months ago
I need to replace the passing lamps on my '05 Silverado. Has anybody tried these (or any of the similar lamps out there)?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MRW9QTQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=1KZUXSMDM2NJI&coliid=IC8W335QUZS8W&psc=1

The description says it's for Harley's, but the lamp sizes are the same as the stock ones. Will they fit the stock buckets? Any issues to look out for?

Yeah, they will fit, I bought Adjure beams for mine that were for a "Harley" but they will fit our lamps too. Amazon generally has great return policies too, so there is that.

Terrific! Thanks. I shattered one of the stock passing lamp lenses last weekend, and it'll cost $130 for the replacement (bought as a pair), where I can upgrade all three to LEDs for only $15 more with these.

Dark,

Here is an even better deal on the lights, also from Amazon.

that does seem like a really good deal, these do fit an 05 roadie?
Do you have any led turn signal lights installed as well?

Steve, Spoke too soon, those don't have the halo's built in. I wish they had the yellow halo's in the 4.5's to use as signals though. It looks like they are just white halo's.

No LED's as of yet, except in my Adjures. Looking at these oval mirrors with turns built in from Chrome Glow. If I could find the lights Darknight suggested but with amber turns in the 4.5's I would rather do that. They would be a lot more visible. Either ones from Amazon will fit in your stock Roadie though, or at least should.

Re:Replacement Headlight and Passing Lamps 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago
The set in my link (which I already purchased) isn't quite as "plug and play" as I'd hoped. The lamps are just slightly undersized for both the headlamp and passing lamps. They fit, but the bezels that help hold them in barely catch the edges of the lamps. For the passing lamps, I was able to scavenge the rubber seal from the old reflector/lens assembly and trim it so that it holds the lamps centered in the bezel, and they seem to be in there pretty solidly. I think that the headlamp will be okay as it is, though I may see if I can do something similar with it to be sure. Otherwise, they look like they should all wire up pretty easily.

That is a great deal. I'm also looking at replacing mine lights with LED's. My son-in-law has a HD street bob, with only one head light and he switched to LED and it's amazing how much light these throw.

Jaybo, do you know if this deal you just posted will fit in the stock mounting bucket? I've see some buys have to modify the stock bucket, but noticed the first set you posted comes with it's own bucket.

Tom, I would think they would fit, the 4.5's have a shell on them, but from reading the reviews it looks like they fit the 4.5 chrome buckets. you usually see issues with them in the reviews and asked questions, so might want to look closer at them. As DarkKnight mentioned you may have to do a little fine tuning of the fit as with any aftermarket product.

I DO wish someone had some 4.5's with amber halo's to use as turn signals though, that would be perfect and give a lot cleaner look up front.
