Power commander and Cobra FI2000R? 3 Weeks, 4 Days ago
I was set on getting a PC for my 08 when I get the pipes.. I was reading on Cobras website they have a plug in device that says you dont adjust anything it comes preset to each bike. Has anyone used one? What do you think of it.. You dont have to dl any maps or anything basically plug it in and go.. No dyno nothing so this little gadget would save me a bunch of money since the pc I have to have it installed, mapped and dyno ran on it..Anyone?

Lots of folks use them over on the Raider and 'Liner forums , but I find Most prefer the PC3 over it. Yes , I'm aware there is a 150.00 difference , and some leg work involved with the PC3 , but most like the results better. BB

While the Cobra unit may be cheaper and easier to install, the fact that it isn't custom-mapped to your bike means it'll always be inferior to the Power Commander.

Every bike is a little different, and the Power Commander allows you to develop a custom map that gives optimum performance for your bike. The Cobra unit is an approximation, at best.
