Fast Blinking Turn Signal 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I had a set of passing lamps on my 05 roadstar silverado. I removed and sold them. Now when I use my turn signals, only rear signals, they blink faster than normal. What can I do to correct the problem?

I don't know about where you live, but here in Georgia turn signals are required...both rear and front. I'd be taking some of that cash you made from selling the passing lamps to install some blinkers of some sort.

I think the flashing unit senses when the electrical load isn't correct (i.e., when there aren't 4 bulbs drawing current) and flashes faster so you'll know that there's a bulb out. I believe that replacing the front bulbs will solve the issue of blinkers flashing faster than normal. Otherwise one of the guru's on this board will need to advise you.

Mark's correct ... you need to either wire in some bulbs under the tank. You can tape or paint them so that they don't 'shine'.

Or you need to wire in a couple of resistors to take the load.

Or you can buy a load equalizer.

Yep, I just came up with $150.00 from here. http://www.ysppart.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx or you can watch on Ebay for the parts.
