What are your carb settings and testing your coils sounds like a good idea, and if it is new call the dealer and let them tell you what is wrong to protect your warranty .
Like I said you are the first person that I have seen to say they could not find the right settings but just for S&G try the b settings and see what happens..good luck with it hope it works out and keep us posted..Coug

HELP!!! Getting ready to install my Dyna-having one helluva time getting my side covers off...Replace them with chrome plastic ones way back when..AM I missing something? That little bolt is impossible to get a wrench on (holding the side cover to the center plastic piece)>...

Have you tried a socket and extension
As for the Dyna 3000 it was probably one of the best engine mods I have done to the bike

Had mine off last night putting exhaust on, as noted, use extension and its real easy (as long as the engine isnt warm ). I reached in and put finger on end of socket when bolt was loose and slid it right out.

Hi....I also had a problem with dyna 3000!! At any of the settings I could not get past3400 rpm without it sounded like it was hitting the rev limiter got in touch with the techs at dyna and they told me a bunch of differant settings to try... none worked.. sent the unit back to them they tested it and said nothing was wrong with it and sent it back ..put it back in did not work...Brought it to stealer let him try ...had him put in new carb kit and still did not get over 3400 rpm.. He talked with dyna and they said send it back ...They said they would send a new one new one came back without box(I do believe that they sent back original) same problem...My bike is a 2002 road star silverado with vance and hines longshot hs and a hyper charger wth a vance and hine carb kit in the carb...I had bought it from Cruiser Customizing and they stood behind it Great Company to ddeal with.
