At any of the settings I could not get past3400 rpm without it sounded like it was hitting the rev limiter.
Need to ask the obvious but for a 5000 rpm limit did you put the first switch down (away from the numbers at the top) and the 2nd and 3rd switch up?

Hi..Tried the dyna every which way..the tech at dyna had me try it even ways that were not even on the chart nothing worked ...Paid to have a small shop near me to play with it he called dyna and talked to a tech still it would not get over 3400 rpms before it would sound like you hit the rev limiter.Brought it to a yamaha shop that I have been doing buisness with for 40 years told them to put in a vance and hines carb kit even though the bike came with a kit in it.I was thinking because I had changed from vance and hine longshots to vance and hines longshot HS that because of the diameter size of the two sets of pipes the jetting may have to be changed but nothing worked. When i put the stock box back in 4200 rpms before it hit the limiter...now I use the stock box.

You must have gotten a bad unit cause I love mine and it works great. I recommend it to everyone cause it just feels like you need and few extra rpms IMHO. I've helped install 2 other Dynas and they had no problems either.
Good luck

Hi...The stock box works fine 4200rpms before she hits the limiter..When I sent for the dyna I was really looking forward to having it.... But because it was not working right it turned out to be an expensive mistake with the cost of my wrench, and yamaha shop, and new jet kit...

So I looked on the side of the box my Dyna 3000 came in and it says that it is for 99'-04' roadstars even though the part number in the JP Cycle catalog says it will fit 06'. I have an 06' 1700 silverado. I put my stock module on and the bike runs like new. Besides calling JP Cycle for a refund do you all have any ideas?
