Custom Wiring - 12V Receptacle and 4-Way Flashers 1 Year, 10 Months ago
I realized that some folks might not open the old thread since I said I'd abandoned an alternative wiring idea and followed the tech article. But I also wanted to make sure that those who are looking to add 4-way flashers or a 12V accessory receptacle could benefit from pictures of some of the work I did.

So be it:

Re:Custom Wiring - 12V Receptacle and 4-Way Flashe 1 Year, 4 Months ago
ok maybe I need a little help here...

I followed the old method, but I have LED lights so I tapped into the wires next to my signal stabilizer.. I didn't have a flasher can yet but tested everything along the way... so all I needed to do was plug the can in between the fuse and the switch...

here is the good part, if I have the flashers going and flip the switch it feeds both sides and I have four-ways... when I install the flasher can and turn on the switch I get the rear taillights flashing and the headlight flashes no front turn signals... all I can think of is the front turn signal are the full on led (eclipse led from custom dynamics)and that it is causing some kind of feed back or the turn signals have a ignition relay I am missing..

any thoughts or anyone have similar things happen

Re:Custom Wiring - 12V Receptacle and 4-Way Flashe 1 Year, 4 Months ago
ok no answers to that one...

I found that the Eclipse LED front turn signal is a running light, that when the turn signal is activated turns the light off through the circuit board they create...
So what is happening is I feed back my running lights when I power the four-way and that flashes my headlight and tail light, instead of the front turn signal... but when not powered and just use the switch I have four ways that auto cancel when I use them like a turn signal..
for what I want, I pull into a intersection doing road captain and the lights stay on...
So I may need to do 2 switches and decide do I want that headlight flashing or not.
