1st ever real service 2 Years, 7 Months ago

Well, it's official, I have scheduled my first ever real service visit at the shop for my R*. I posted about the fuel gauge acting up and getting an 8-flash error code. Well, for the second time in the past 3 weeks, I went to start the bike, and the fuel pump wouldn't engage. Let it sit for an hour and tried again, and I heard that familiar prime tinging, and she fired right up. Rather than pull the sending unit, I'm just going to have the shop check it out. The sending unit is covered under the YES warranty, so I hope it's that or something else covered. For all I know, it could be electrical off the ignition switch. Anyway, would be nice to get some of my money out of that coverage.
She's gone 34,000+ miles without so much as a sneeze, and thanks to everyone here on the forum, I've been able to take care of a few minor issues and do all my own maintenance and a few mods I wanted along the way.
Fingers crossed. Miss here already.

I trust the wrenches here. Good reports on them, with lots of experience. I just don't like the possible expense, and I really don't like not being able to hop on the scoot anytime I want. Blah!

Update: Fuel sender the problem. Part ordered last Friday. Due in today or tomorrow. Covered under the warranty. Yeah!

And so you know, the fuel sending unit has nothing to do with fuel pump. Sending unit only shows amount of gas in tank, and thats all it does.
