Aw, you're no fun 1700cc. It's a little cover that sits just above the crankcase kinda behind the oil lines on the right side.

mine did the same thing...the cover is groundin out the switch... take a gremmel tool and grind the inside of the cover a bit where it may contact the electrial ..fixed mine...
