Turning Over, but no fire! 2 Years, 4 Months ago
Greetings all. After a year and a half, I am almost done with my bobber build. I have had the tranny recall done during the process so I have fresh rings and gaskets--the motore was redone by a qualified and trusted mechanic. I also replaced the front end with a DNA Sringer, so I had to go with HD custom drag bars with HD switches. I switched out the entire front end with HD parts and electrics.

I put it all back together, followed the installation instructions StoneColdStar gave me for the badlands singal module (which were great, very easy to follow), and checked all fuses and lines at least a dozen times. The bike turns over, all indicators work, and I am getting gas to the carb. What I am not getting is spark. I pulled all the spark plug wires and did the trusty screw driver test to see if get a spark: Nope! I even took a spark plug out and hit the ignition to see if there was spark in the gap: Nope!

The wires going into the coils are both pushing hot (I didn't mix them up and ground any during the rebuild). But I am not getting fire at the spark plug. Could the coils be bad? Any ideas?

Thanks
Col
