99 dollar AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) Battery 2 Years, 4 Months ago
I found and installed a 99 buck AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery from Advance Auto Parts in my 1999 Road Star.

It fits perfect and should last at least 5 years
The same brand AGM battery in my rigid Chop is on it's 3rd year, it gets beat to hell on bumps and gets hot as hell inside my horseshoe oil tank. My regulator blew and I put over 300 miles on it not knowing the charging system had quit and a half year later this dang tough assed battery is still going strong.

If you're interested, the battery I got for my 1999 Road Star is an 'Extreme Magana Power' ETX20L.

Is it a battery they keep in stock or have to order? I bet they have to order... if so, what kinda wait time is someone looking at? Good info too... thanks...

I walked in the Advance on hwy-52 in Albemarle, NC, measured 4 batteries against my OEM, picked this one out and left with it.

You could probably call ahead and check.

I have always gone above and beyond with batteries and now that I have my first non-kick, button start only bike, I'm downright paranoid about it.

I've got one on the way from Apex Battery, $87.00, no sales tax, and free shipping. Should be here on Monday.

But, if I'd known about Advance Auto, I probably would've gotten it.
