It's a good choice. Some of our forum members have them and love 'em. If I had the money I'd buy one too. Pretty easy to install from what I hear.

Moreland4--

Got it, love it, had it for years, but I recently replaced the guts with a Baron's I got cheaply off eBay. Oddly, the Baron's tach fits on the Pro-One handlebar clamp...

If you haven't already purchased yours, I have the Baron's handlebar clamp with same mounting bolt pattern as in the one you showed. I couldn't use that one because my risers are off a '99-'03 and aren't the batwing style. I also have the Pro One tach w/white face. If you feel like mating them up and using it, you can have the whole setup for $25 including shipping.

Two things: the guy I bought the Baron's setup from had Buffalo Bars, and he ground up the sides of the clamp to get them to fit. And the Pro-One tach needle used to bounce a bit for me at idle, and I didn't like that. It all works, but with some cosmetic flaws. Good way for you to try them out dirt cheap without spending $200.

Someone else on here had a problem with their Pro-One tach needle bouncing, and Pro-One sent them a new tach (not the whole setup, just the guts) for around $60 I think.

Just throwing that out there...

if he doesn't want the clamp and the tach I would gladly take it off your hands. $25 is a great deal on a used tach
