Re:Air Horn 3 Weeks, 4 Days ago
I dont have a rear horn, so it replaced my front horn.

I had a friend help, but it was pretty straight forward. Just ran the wire to the battery through the existing wire "tube" that goes along the frame. My friend did most the connecting parts, since i suck at wiring, but it seemed pretty easy.

I just used the hardware from work. But the kit probably makes it easy too (although grossly overpriced).

Here's some installed pics if it helps. Its not perfect but looks good on the bike and the forward controls hide it pretty well.

Pulled the front and rear horns and added them to the s**t pile of Road* parts I have. Painted horn completely black, mounted above oil filter below rectifier. It disappears there, no one even notices it until I honk it. Easy to wire up, relay is zip tied in hiding up there too. Perfect spot for it since usually trouble comes from right in front of me or just off the front side.

I'm happy to say I rode 1,000 miles this weekend and didn't use it once!

I didn't buy the wiring harness because I had lots of wire and connectors from other misc. projects that I'd done. Made a simple bracket out of aluminum (spare) and bolted to the front horm location. Removed the rear horn, ran a wire from the battery the horn in the existing wire loom running along the frame, mounted the relay under the left cover, and put it all back together.

I've scarred more that one cager on a cell phone with it. Wouldn't give for my Chrome Strabel Air Horn.

I reworked my stock horn mount and put it under my rectifier. Took a little work but it's out of the way. Bought a 8' of wire and 8' long shrink tubing to make my own 2 wire setup. Harbor Freight, less than $5.00

I love my Stebel. I paid $49.00 for it and another $9.00 for wiring kit. I had it installed because I'm tech-no challenged. It's mounted right next to the left floor board. Nice and loud.

I bought the Stebel single air horn and thought it was too bulky to install.

Then I saw the duo tone horns. They are about twice as big as the stock and were very easy to install.

I placed one in the same location as the front and added the second under the rectifier.

I don't remember if I bought a wiring kit or if the stuff came in the box. I used the stainless brackets that came with the horns.

They are LOUD. When I hit the switch, everyone jerk their heads around and looks!

Stopped cagers from pulling out in front of me a few times.

What?? I bought mine off ebay for $36 shipped brand new and it comes with a Relay. Bought a galvanized 'L' bracket from lowes for like 10 cents.

wiring and connectors were free from work. Most people should be able to get it done for less than $50.

Used mine today when a oriental woman decided to follow the car in front of her and turn right on red without stopping. The first car stopped, she did not. I let her know for about 10 seconds straight that I had a Stebel.....sounded like a train was comin' through
